What this light means

This light indicates the high-voltage battery temperature is too high and the vehicle must be stopped to cool down. If the light flashes, the handbook recommends immediately stopping safely and leaving the vehicle as soon as possible.

Possible causes

  • Official handbook source: sustained high-load conditions such as driving up a slope for a long time in hot weather, long stop-and-go traffic, frequent rapid acceleration or hard braking, or extended driving without a pause.
