Frequently asked questions
When is the ROX 01's first service?
The official schedule's first interval is at 10,000 km or 1 year, whichever comes first — alongside the separate run-in guidance for brakes (~500 km) and tyres (~300 km) on a brand-new car.
How often does the range extender need an oil change?
Every 1 year, or every 10,000 km the range extender engine has actually worked, whichever comes first.
How often is the air filter replaced?
The range extender's own air filter is replaced every 2 years or 20,000 km worked; the separate cabin (air conditioning) filter is every 1 year or 20,000 km.
How often is the brake fluid changed?
Every 4 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first.
How often is the coolant changed?
Every 6 years or 120,000 km, whichever comes first.
What should I do during the run-in period on a new ROX 01?
Drive with caution for the first ~500 km to bed in the brakes, and at moderate speed for the first ~300 km for the tyres.
Can I do ROX 01 maintenance myself?
Routine external care (washing, checking tyre pressure) is fine yourself, but ROX's manual states all scheduled maintenance must be performed at an authorized ROX Service Center with genuine parts to keep the warranty valid.
Is it safe to service the range extender or brakes myself?
No — the range extender, brakes, high-voltage battery and charging system must only be serviced by an authorized ROX Service Center.
