How to Charge the ROX 01 via AC (Level 2)

Step-by-step guide to charging your ROX 01 using a standard AC Level 2 home charger or public charging station.

Before You Start

  1. 1Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) and the ignition is off.
  2. 2Check that the charging cable matches your outlet: Type 2 (Mennekes) for EU, GB/T for CIS markets.
  3. 3Inspect the charging port cover on the left rear quarter panel — press the button on the driver door panel to open it.

Connecting the Charger

  1. 1Insert the connector firmly until you hear a click. The port indicator light turns blue.
  2. 2If using a public EVSE: follow the station instructions to authorize the session.
  3. 3The dashboard shows the charging status icon and estimated completion time.

The ROX 01 supports Normal (6A–16A, 1.4–3.7 kW) for overnight home charging, and Fast AC (32A, 7.4 kW) for compatible Level 2 stations.

Pre-conditioning the cabin while still plugged in uses grid power rather than battery power, preserving your range.

Disconnecting Safely

  1. 1Unlock the vehicle first — the connector locks in place while charging.
  2. 2Press the release button on the connector handle and pull straight out.
  3. 3Close the charging port cover.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use any Type 2 cable with the ROX 01?

Yes, any IEC 62196 Type 2 cable rated for at least 32A will work. Check your home charger rating before using Fast AC mode.

Is it safe to charge overnight at home?

Yes. The BMS automatically stops charging when the battery reaches 100% (or your set limit). Setting a limit to 80% for daily charging is recommended for long-term battery health.
